In 2013, ARISS (at the time denominated as Osservatorio dell’Asia Orientale) organized a six-months-long workshop on scenario planning for twelve students. Specifically, the workshop was designed to cover the theoretical foundations of scenario planning methodologies and apply them to the case of study of Sino-American relations in the coming decade. A modified version of Shell’s STEEP analysis was thought and used during the course.

The course was organized with the support and guidance of Professor Giovanni Andornino (vice-president of the Torino World Affairs Institute).
